Ken Griffin told Senator Vargas no one in Citadel's organizations had conversations with anyone at Robinhood prior to brokers removing the buy button. Documents from a Florida Civil suit against Citadel and others prove that was not true. Citadel LLC along with Steven Cohen of Point72 Asset Management Injected $2.75 billion into failing Melvin capital in January.
Vlad Tenev is the Co-founder and CEO of Robinhood. Vlad Tenev's statements to congress after the events in certain securities during January, are not consistent with the Florida Civil Suit against Robinhood and others. Robinhood has also been fined $70 million by FINRA for 'Significant Harm' to customers ahead of their IPO. Robinhood has also halted trading in Cryptocurrencies multiple times when cryptocurrencies increased quickly in price, leaving customers unable to sell for a profit. Robinhood has also had a data breach of about 7 million clients information as of 11/9/2021.

Capital Advisors agreed to pay $1.8 billion in fines in one of the biggest criminal cases against a hedge fund. Steven Cohen is still allowed to operate and trade in the market. Steve Cohen along with Ken Griffin of Citadel LLC injected $2.75 Billion into failing Melvin Capital. The extent of Steve Cohens involvement is yet to be discovered.
Janet Yellen is an American economist, and government official currently serving under the Biden administration as the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. Janet Yellen has received around $800k in speech fees from Citadel. She also did not recuse herself from the situation involving Citadel, given the conflict of interest - while vowing to protect Americans.
Gabe Plotkin, founder of Melvin Capital suffered losses of around 53%. Gabe joined Ken Griffin's hedge fund Citadel LLC. Prior to starting Melvin Capital, Plotkin was a trader at Steven Cohen's SAC Capital.

Mr. Gallagher's total compensation in 2020 was $30,067,914 according to Robinhood's S1 filing, while Mr. Tenev's compensation in 2020 amounted to $767,923. People are curious what justifies, and what value Mr. Gallagher brings to Robinhood to justify his pay. At the very least - it is reflective of the revolving door with regulators, politicians, and wall street.
Jim Swartwout, President and COO of Robinhood. According to Florida court documents, in an internal messaging system Mr. Swartwout says on January 26th that he is closing his AMC positions before Robinhood removed the buy button from their customers.
