Documents from a Florida Civil suit against Citadel and others prove that was not true. Citadel LLC along with Steven Cohen of Point72 Asset Management Injected $2.75 billion into failing Melvin capital in January.
Vlad Tenev is the Co-founder and CEO of Robinhood. Vlad Tenev's statements to congress after the events in certain securities during January, are not consistent with the Florida Civil Suit against Robinhood and others. Robinhood has also been fined $70 million by FINRA for 'Significant Harm' to customers ahead of their IPO. Robinhood has also halted trading in Cryptocurrencies multiple times when cryptocurrencies increased quickly in price, leaving customers unable to sell for a profit. Robinhood has also had a data breach of about 7 million clients information as of 11/9/2021.

Steve Cohen along with Ken Griffin of Citadel LLC injected $2.75 Billion into failing Melvin Capital. The extent of Steve Cohens involvement is yet to be discovered.
Janet Yellen is an American economist, and government official currently serving under the Biden administration as the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. Janet Yellen has received around $800k in speech fees from Citadel. She also did not recuse herself from the situation involving Citadel, given the conflict of interest - while vowing to protect Americans.

People are curious what justifies, and what value Mr. Gallagher brings to Robinhood to justify his pay. At the very least - it is reflective of the revolving door with regulators, politicians, and wall street.
